How to make an ornament wreath…

I got the directions to make my wreath from the Good Housekeeping website.

Supplies…
Straw wreath
You can get a wreath in any size you prefer.
They come in 12 - 24 inches at most craft stores.
Mine is 18 inches.

  Felt strips
Cut in 3 inch wide strips, your choice of color.

Hot glue gun
I've got a pink one (we have a love/hate relationship).

Glue stix...
I used clear glitter stix in case some of the glue showed, it just looks sparkly.

Lots of ornaments!
I ran out of ornaments while making mine so I had to go buy a few more! I think I used around 100!! I suggest waiting until after the holiday season to buy when all ornaments are on major clearance.

Pins
I had some leftover from my wedding.

To make…
Using the 3-inch-wide strips, wrap each piece around the wreath, pinning to secure and overlapping the edges. Then the fun begins, take assorted balls/ornaments and attach to the felt with the glue gun, using the smallest balls to fill in holes and gaps. You can also add small stars, snowflakes, or other ornaments to give your wreath a unique look. Hang with wire, wrapped securely around "top" of wreath. (You'll need to add the wire before you cover the wreath completely with ornaments.)
I apologize for not taking step-by-step pictures.  I will next time. I plan to make another for my mother for next year.

MY INSPIRATION!
MY WREATH!
in progress...
 FINISHED!

I would say this wreath took me around 6-8 hours and although time consuming it was so much fun to make. I love making crafts, especially ones that last years!! I also watched HGTV all day and it was a holiday special kind of day so there were tons of Christmas decorating shows on.
My pretty wreath is hanging on our front door now and it looks marvelous.

If anyone still has questions, let me know! :)
