lately, in phone pictures....

last saturday billy had a 15 hour day so i knew i needed a project/craft to work on.
i decided on a button craft....
it took forever to hot glue all the buttons but it was the perfect project for me and i love how they turned out.
cullen cat naps, usually an hour here and there so i was able to do this while he slept.
our washer and dryer are in our basement and our basement is not finished.
our basement actually kinda creeps me out, haha!
i spend a lot of time doing laundry though so i thought this would spruce the space up a bit.
only thing is i have no idea how i'll hang them to our cement walls.
i'll be asking my pops for a hand, he's a carpenter and i'm sure he'll have a solution!
*******************************
billy worked at home one day last week and he needed a little bit of help from me.
he knows i'll work for candy....
ha!  i ate almost all of it that day...
********************************
last thursday the fire station had an open house.
we had to go, the fire station is directly across the street from our home.
we hear the fire truck all too often....

culley in his fireman hat!
with daddy B in the fire truck!

i got new fuzzy boots and some leg warmers and i tried to get a pic of them...

phone pic fail!
but i did love my comfy fall outfit!
oversized, long hoodie
leggings
(i live in leggings these days!)
black fuzzy boots
leg warmers

that evening my culley and i had some cuddle time...
he is such a SWEET boy!!
lastly, i made C bear two shirts with appliques!
(post coming soon with where i got them!)
random post, yeppers....
it's tuesday night (pre-typed post), we are watching christmas vacation and just finished tator-tot hotdish, so yummy!!
now onto double stuffed halloween oreos!
they have 5 boo-rific shapes, how could one not eat one of every shape ;)

  1. Those button letters look SO amazing!!! I absolutely LOVE them! Our laundry is also down in an unfinished basement and it creeps me out big time!! I haven't done anything to decorate or make it any cheerier so maybe I should try something like that? Maybe some bright colors would help? Our walls are cement too. I've thought about painting the walls but then I think of all the millions of other things I need to do and the laundry room always falls to the bottom of the list. You did a great job!!

  3. I'm continuously amazed by your craftiness! Could you use those no hole hook things to hang the letters? Just a thought, I'm not sure how well they'd stick to cement.

  19. My house is 99% concrete walls, and I have learned to love the 3M Command Strips. The ones that work the best for heavier things are the velcro photo hanging strips. Good luck! The letters are adorable! Where did you find all the buttons?

  26. I am going to copy your laundry craft...thank you very much:) Also, a way to hang them on cement walls is to use those "no damage" stick on things (official name) made by 3M. you can get them at Bed Bath and Beyond. i use them to hang everything on my walls before i use nails. just to be 100% sure i like it there!!
