23 Weeks...

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 23 Weeks

Size of baby: Baby C is the size of a mango

Around 11 inches and weighing 1 pound

Total Weight Gain: Not sure.

I’m probably up 15-16 pounds (plus)?!?!

Maternity Clothes: Wearing a mix of everything.

Gender: BOY!! Baby Cullen!!

Movement: I can feel him more frequently now, he seems to kick the most when I'm laying  or sitting up before bed.  I love feeling him move around!

Sleep: Sleep is still great.

What I miss: The gym, running, being motivated to work out.  

I don't think I worked out once in December.  Besides a little bit of yoga at home.  I'm actually considering canceling my gym membership so I don't waste money.  I've been thinking about getting a treadmill, my monthly gym payment would cover the cost of a treadmill payment.

If any of you have a treadmill, what brand?  Do you like having one at home?  Use it often?

Cravings: Sweets! I wake up in the morning craving lucky charms! num!

Symptoms: Nothing this week.

What I’m looking forward to:  Our next appointment which is an ultrasound appt and under 2 weeks away :)

Well it's NYE, this is my first NYE alone.  My hubby and I usually hang out at our place and have family over.  This year hubs is in another state working.  I'll be missing him but at least I have Gussy and it's not like I'll be up until midnight anyway.  Next NYE we'll have a baby to celebrate with and bring in the new year.  I can't wait!
2010 was a fabulous year, I married the LOVE of my life and I honestly couldn't be happier.
I can't wait to see what 2011 has in store for us...besides the obvious of our baby CULLEN!
We can not wait to meet our little guy, in just under 4 months.

My first gift from Cullen...

A baby shoe charm with a diamond, which will be Cullen's birth stone as long as he is born in April. I had a Tiffany necklace chain so I just added the little shoe to it.  It's not something I'll wear every day but I do love it and I will cherish it forever.  It is so special and such a sentimental gift.  And I had NO idea Billy/Cullen was getting me anything! It was a huge surprise.  

I love my 3 boys :)  We all had a very Merry Christmas!!

22 Weeks...

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 22 Weeks

Size of baby: Baby C is the size of a spaghetti squash (?)

Around 11 inches and weighing 1 pound

Total Weight Gain: Not sure.

I’m probably up 15-16 pounds (plus)?!?!

Maternity Clothes: Wearing a mix of everything.

Gender: BOY!! Baby Cullen!!

Movement: I can feel him more frequently now!

Billy felt him kick for the first time a few days ago!

I just LOVE feeling the little guy moving around!

Sleep: Sleep is still great!

What I miss: The gym, running, looking/feeling attractive...
I could be going to the gym but the freezing cold weather makes me want to leave the house once I'm home. So I don't....

Cravings: sweets! baked potatoes, orange juice, orange gatorade and orange hi-c.

Symptoms: Nothing this week.

What I’m looking forward to: Christmas!!! & our next ultrasound in January!!

I did a prenatal yoga DVD today for the first time, it was also my first time every doing any kind of yoga.  I enjoyed it and I am going to try to do it a few times a week.

Time for a nap, Billy woke me up at 8 and told me it was 10.  I think he was bored and wanted me to keep him company.  He is at hockey now for the rest of the day/night so I'll  be snoozing and watching holiday movies!

When Dominic lived with us he always used to get into our chip cupboard and bring Billy a bag of chips to share.  For Christmas in 2008, Dominic gave Billy a bag of one of their favorites, chili cheese fritos...

It's my Friday!! :)

I'm babysitting tonight and for a few hours tomorrow during the day.

Minnesota is getting more snow tomorrow.....just crazy!

Then the Christmas festivities will begin Friday!! So exciting!! :)

1. The presents are all wrapped and under the tree!

The wrapping & bags match the tree...it's a must ;)

2. I baked this on Sunday...

3. Billy and I went to his nephew's birthday party on Saturday night and his mom sent us home with ranch pretzels.

4. It's my favorite time of the year for mail!!

For this very reason....

Our card tree is full this year so if you've sent us a card and it's not up there, it's on the fridge!

5. Gus is a snow baby this year!  I don't ever remember him LOVING snow as much as he does this year!! He is funny to watch play on our deck, he made himself a little tunnel under a chair to get to the edge of the deck so he can do his favorite thing, bark! 

 When he is inside he just kind of mopes around, looking cute while doing so...

6. On Friday, I openly admitted that I have a major addiction shopping for baby clothes for my little guy.

It's bad.  Billy asked me to maybe stop for a while so I did, for 2-3 weeks.  Then I came home with 5 new outfits for him on Friday.  B didn't say anything, I think he secretly loves my addiction ;)

Even he went to Target yesterday and got some bibs for our little guy. 

I found this little onesie and hat at a local boutique for Summer!

7. I'm really looking forward to spending Christmas with our families!! I just love this time of the year!  I'm working today and tomorrow and then off for 5 days :) 

8. I will be spending my last 2 days at work this week listening to non-stop Christmas music.

9. These are the beautiful cookies I decorated. ha!  They aren't pretty but they tasted yummy!

I ate them all.

I really need to consider getting back into a gym routine.

10. Lastly, THANK YOU all so much for the comments on my post from yesterday.  I think I would be lost without ya'll!! I will keep you posted on how things play out.

confrontation...

I don’t usually come to my blog with personal issues/drama but I’ve got something sitting heavy on my heart and mind that I just have to get out.


Dominic’s mom….

If you have been following my blog for a while you will have noticed that I used to spend a lot of time with my nephew, Dominic. Last year, Billy and I would watch him every Wednesday and he would come over to play and spend the night often. We have always been close to Dominic, in part because he lived at our house for over a year and because we used to spend a lot of time with my brother and him. Billy and my brother became good friends when he lived with us so we were just always together. Dom’s mom worked opposite schedules of all of us but when we could all 5 hang out, we did.
Going back 4 years…

My best friend lived with me at the time, Billy had just moved in as well. My brother was over visiting and us 4 were all hanging out having drinks on the deck. My brother and my bestie had only met a few times, at the time my brother and my bestie were 21. Well, those two ended up inside the house at the same time and I guess they kissed. It was nothing more than a peck. BUT my brother was with Dominic’s mom at the time and she was pregnant. What my bestie and brother did was wrong. They both knew it was wrong and my brother told D’s mom and my bestie also apologized over and over. They made a really stupid mistake.  Neither of them have been forgiven nor has this been forgotten.


Fast forward 4 years…

Dominic’s mom will not let him come to our house anymore. She says it’s because of what happened 4 years ago. She thinks my bestie might be at my house. Although my bestie moved out of the state 6 months ago and lives over 4 hours away. I think Dom’s mom has lost it. It’s just not fair and it breaks my heart that she keeps this little boy from two people that love him like he was their own. We saw him learn to crawl and walk and talk. When they lived with us his bedroom was right next to ours and I would go get him all the time to play with him, feed him, anything….I just loved being with him.  My brother and Dom's mom both worked full time so whenever we could help out, we would.

Last year Billy and I used to watch Dominic every Wednesday and they also used to come over for game night and to hang out and spend the night.  It was never a problem then for Dominic to be at our place without his parents.  Dominic’s mom and I actually used to be pretty good friends too. We have always gotten along no matter what drama has come up.

For mine and Billy's wedding, we only had immediate family. The wedding started at 4:30 and she knew that, she knew for a while. She had the day off. She showed up at 5, after the ceremony. Of course she had Dominic with her so he missed our wedding as well. She has no explanation for being the way she is. If you ask me, she is rude and very selfish. Once they were there, she immediately got upset with my brother and said her and Dominic were leaving. Nothing had even happened; she just loves attention and starting drama. I got upset and almost started crying because I didn’t want Dom to have to leave, I wanted him there on that special day. My brother convinced her to stay and the rest of the night went fine. Although neither Billy or I talked to her. I was so upset that she couldn’t show up on time in the first place and then just threaten to leave with Dom.  I wasn't rude to her but I think she felt a bit dumb for acting the way she did and she kept to herself most of the night.

A few weeks later when she found out I was pregnant, all she said was “wow, that happened quick”. No congrats or anything.


After Dominic’s birthday in September she de-friended me and blocked me on facebook. I have NO idea what I did or anything. I thought everything was fine at Dominic’s party. Ever since then I haven’t talked to her. She was over at my parent’s house on Halloween and we didn’t exchange a word. She is friends with everyone else in my family on FB including Billy. 

She didn’t come for Thanksgiving this year but at least Dominic was there.

Then a few weeks ago I asked my brother if Dominic could spend the night because Billy and I hadn’t seen him in a while. My brother said he could and then he texted me a few hours later and said that he couldn’t. I didn’t even need to ask why.  I just cried about it. I knew it was his mom’s doing. Billy ended up talking to my brother to see what the issue was. And that is when I found out that Dominic’s mom said he wasn’t allowed at our place because of one of my best friends and something that happened 4 years ago. Or so she says...

I was at my parent’s house yesterday and I was getting ready to leave I noticed they had a Christmas card with pictures of Dominic. Guess who didn’t get that Christmas card? Yeah, me and Billy.


I’m so hurt, angry, and upset by what she is doing. No one in my family gets it, or gets her. I am going to confront her about this soon because I don’t think her actions are fair in any way and I think there is something more to this.
I got to see Dom last Wednesday because she lets him go to my parent’s house. We all baked cookies and had a fun night over there. If she thinks she can keep him from me, that is not going to happen.

The other thing is, I feel bad for my brother. She puts him in the middle of all of this. They have lived together for over a year now, I just pray all is going well between the two of them and that they have a happy little family.

I apologize for the long post. I’m sure it was all over the place and doesn’t make much sense but I feel better just writing about some of this situation.

21 Weeks...

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 21 Weeks

Size of baby: Baby is the size of a carrot!

We got an ‘accurate’ weight on baby boy yesterday as well, he is 15 ounces.

A little bigger than a can of pop.

Total Weight Gain: Not sure.

I went to the doctor yesterday but we just had an ultrasound, weight and blood pressure was not checked.

I’m probably up 14-15 pounds?!?!

Maternity Clothes: Wearing a mix of everything.

Today, normal size 2 jeans and normal long sleeve shirt.

Still loving comfies and leggings.

Gender: BOY!! Baby Cullen!!

Movement: I can feel him more frequently now.

With how active our little guy is, I’m sure to be feeling him more and more as he grows.
His arms and legs were flying all over the place yesterday.
And even though I seem to be carrying high, Cullen is low.
And yesterday, he wouldn't move up at all. 

Sleep: Sleep is still great!

What I miss: Being tan, haha.

In all reality though, I am LOVING being pregnant :)

Cravings: sweets!

I could eat the entire box of these tree cakes…

I know, that’s so bad! But they are so good! Ha!

Symptoms: I’m kind of itchy, not on my tummy but my back and arms. I think that might be just because I need to be using lotion on my than just the bump.

What I’m looking forward to: Christmas!!! & our next ultrasound in January since our little boy was such a wiggle worm!

We had an ultrasound yesterday and everything checked out perfect! We feel so blessed and are so happy. I am measuring right on with my due date of April 28th!

Cullen was so active that the 3D pictures turned out blurry and we didn’t get many other good shots. The good thing about that is we get to see our baby boy again in just under a month for another ultrasound!
