work is super busy....

i felt like crap all morning...

it was bad!

i wish...

 i could wake up 90 minutes later than i normally do every day...

take my sweet time getting ready....

including watching the regis and kelly show...

while blogging....

eating some breakfast...

enjoying some coffee...

then driving to work....

in reality i wake up in the dark...

shower and get ready within an hour...

eating no breakfast...

drinking no coffee...

throwing lunches together for B and myself...

then fly out the door to catch the bus...

this morning my alarm clock was set...

it went off...

the volume was NOT on...

i woke up an hour and a half late...

B says it's because he was super cuddly...

i agreed :)

therefore, i'm taking my SWEET time getting ready...

i will be driving to work...

 paying at least $20 for parking...

i figure the longer i stall...

the less i'll have to pay to park...

the 2 attorneys i work for are awesome...

they don't give me a hard time for coming in late...

as this NEVER happens!

i couldn't say the last time i overslept...

darn alarm clock!!!

it is my fault....

 i'm still blaming the alarm clock ;)

i had a fabulous weekend in south dakota at a wedding!!

i will do a post tomorrow on it.

i have a lot of pictures to go through.

i have caller ID at work and therefore rarely answer my phone. yeah, i screen phone calls just like the rest of you ;) if it's a client and they need something urgently they can have me paged or leave a message and i'll have someone else get back to them....i'm not a talk on the phone kinda person.

my phone rings today and i recognize the number but not sure whose # it is...

me: this is annie
sister: giggles, it's me, you don't recognize my #?
me: not since you had it changed a few months ago
sister: well you should know my # by heart! next time i call i'm not telling you it's me
me: i know your voice! your normal voice and all your silly voices....i am your sister
sister: yeah i suppose....so are you at work?
me: ha! you called my work phone obviously i'm at work
sister: yeah i guess i know you are at work but what are you doing? i know you don't actually work while you are there....i don't know if you are playing on facebook or whatever it is that you do.
me: no FB for me, i'm over it....i only use it on my phone and btw i DO TO work, sometimes....otherwise i'm lost in blog land
sitster: i don' think you work....anyway, i'm going to the mall, do you know exactly where i should park to be able to walk in the closest entrance to F21 (she was going to mall of america, the place is kinda BIG)
me: yes (proceed to tell her exactly where to park)

it's probably a conversation you had to be there for but to us it was quite silly :)

my sister is an 18 year old smarta$$, with the best heart ever!

the conversation didn't end there though. she was going to the mall to return a dress that she bought for a wedding we are attending this weekend. my cousin who is 6 years younger than me is getting married. my sis knows i no longer like going to the mall (i've attempted to put myself on a spending freeze, as much as i possibly can). she says F21 has a lot of cute dresses under $20 and insists on me getting one. her recommendation was to take pics of all the dresses she likes in the store and send them to me. um, no thank you. i had to can her idea.... i thanked her for her efforts though, she is such a sweet little sis.

my sis and i don't talk on the phone often either, we text all the time. also, at the time she called we were texting....probably why i didn't expect the call to be her ;)

SO, i don't want to buy a new dress for the wedding because i'm trying to NOT spend money. also, i have to try a dress on before buying it. i have a hard time with dresses. i don't have a large chest but it sure seems like it when i'm trying to get into a dress and my cleavage is more than i want anyone in my family to see, well anyone for that matter, ha! needless to say, i'm wearing a dress that i already own and shoes that i already own. not sure which dress or which shoes but i still have one whole day to figure that out...

since everyone else is doing posts on fAll...
i didn't want to be left out...
figured i should as well...

our living room has been transformed quite a bit since last year.
we live in a not.so.big townhouse.

but we try to make the most out of our space.

turns out not much decorating was needed this FALL.

our accent color in our living room is ORANGE.

with orange and red polka dots.

i would like to add some browns to this arrangement.
it seems a little bright for fall
but i love all the orange and red.

i might have taken a nap?! i can not remember

topped the night off with a night out for mexi dinner with B

(woke feeling guilty, B never gets to sleep in)

went to a 5th birthday party for B's niece, Lo

she is obsessed with iCarly, i think

she now owns everything iCarly

B had hockey so I sat down to watch a movie with G

I fell asleep

B arrived home just in time to watch CURB!

I made chicken wild rice soup for din

we ended up chatting for over 2 hours

finally ate around 11

watched entourage

& crashed

turns out even when we have a chance to eat dinner at a normal time it's just not going to happen.

our official dinner time is 11 ;)

overall, it was a great weekend that was mostly spent at home.

i loved it though!

relaxing weekends are my favorite.

i will be out of town all next weekend for a wedding so it will be a busy one.

THANKFUL THURSDAY

Little Miss. I Dew posts a Thankful Thursday post every week so I decided to jump in and do the same this week! Go check her out if you haven't already!!

This week I’m feeling THANKFUL for….

FALL TV – Glee, Biggest Loser, SYTYCD, Survivor and starting this Sunday a new episode of CURB Your Enthusiasm, then the following week Desperate Housewives and I can’t forget about The Hills and The City! Very thankful for my DVR as well, ha! What are your favorite shows? I’m always up for checking out a new show, besides the vampire stuff, ha!

THE WEATHER – it has been sunny, in the 70’s and just beautiful the past week! I have been taking my pup on 2 mile walks every day, he loves it.

JILLIAN M. – I have started the Shred once again! I decided to start on level 2 because level 1 was kind of boring to me. I’m sore as all heck but I LOVE it! I’m determined to stay focused this time and stick with a routine.

MEAT – I decided after 6 weeks that being a vegetarian was not the right thing for me. I’m now a "flexitarian" or as my mom will call me a meat-o-saurus, ha! I eat meat whenever I want once again, I missed eating meat….I actually had a crazy craving for a hot dog, of all things! So I ate one, it was delicious. I still eat soy meat products, I love morning star farms! It was getting hard to make 2 separate dinners every single night. B loves his meat and he deserves a full home cooked meal every night after working 15-16 hour days so at least we are back on the same eating routine together :) Last night at 11:00 we had stew for din, it was so nummy! Today I feel like a cow, this whole eating at 11:00 and going to bed right after is so not good for me.

JAMES PATTERSON – I’m addicted to his Alex Cross series. There are 14 books in the series and I’m on # 9. Has anyone else read any of these books?!

MY BESTIE – We had so much fun together on Wednesday night even though all we did for 6 straight hours is sit around and talk!! It amazes me that we never run out of things to talk about no matter how much we talk. Also, her band's show got cancelled on Friday night so I might get to see her again! How exciting is that!? We go 2 months without seeing each other and then have the chance to see each other twice in 1 week, awesome!

MY FIANCE – He is the hardest working man I know! He is a retail operations manager at the Zoo, running all over the place, doing daily tasks and dealing with 30-40 employees by day to a boys skills hockey coach by night. When I say skills, this means he is out on the ice with the boys going through all sorts of routines. It’s pretty much like conditioning and he does this for 3 hours every night. Talk about an awesome workout!! He is doing all of this for us (and his love for hockey) so we can have a better future, I love him for this and a million other reasons!!

What are you thankful for?

there is this one pretty girl i know....

THIS ONE....

she is one of my besties...

i love her to itty bitty pieces...

she is in a band that performs every weekend...

the shows are never anywhere near me....

she also lives over an hour away...

and works full time....

which means, she is ONE BUSY LADY!

i haven't seen her in almost two months...

lucky for her she has off a day during mid-week...

lucky for me, she LOVES me...

she is coming over tonight!!!

SLUMBER PARTY!

yeah, i'm beyond excited! ;)

this was very last second but we were having major withdrawals!!
it's hard when you are best friends with someone...
live and breath EVERY THING together...
because you are roommates, like sisters and have everything in common...
then in almost an instant lives change...
and you hardly ever see each other....
i miss this girl like crazy 24/7!
of course we text and email as much as we possibly can
but it just isn't the same as being together.
tonight we will reunite and i know it will be just like old times...
it always is!!
it's like we were never apart!
i love my lil whit ;)

Along with the random post title (fray lyrics), here is a random bullet list because it's Monday and I'm feeling a lil tiny bit lazy…

* I had a great weekend! Spent Friday night at home, doing nothing. B was coaching hockey and didn’t get home until 10:30. Once he was home we ate wings and cooked a pizza, had a beverage or two and chatted for a couple hours. Saturday my sis and I took D to a park and we met B for lunch. Saturday night I watched 4 little boys. Sunday I spent the entire day laying out by the pool with my mom and sis, went to target with my sis and didn’t spend a cent (first time ever). Sunday night is always family dinner night at my parents house so B came over after hockey and we had a yummy dinner and just hung out for a few hours.

* I cleaned out my closet last week. This was the result…

at least 50 empty hangers. if only i could go shopping and refill them ;)

* Ever wish there was a recall button for text messages. I sent a text last week to the wrong person and was thinking how awesome it would be to have a recall button! Ha!

* Last Thursday I really did think it was Wednesday which is why I posted a Wordless Wednesday and then later changed the title to Wordless Wednesday on a Thursday…ha!

* I don’t like that I’m already having to wake up when it’s dark outside. I miss the sunshine coming through the windows at the crack of dawn. Although I know it’s only going to get worse….coming to work when it’s dark and leaving when it’s dark. Boo to winter!

* B’s hockey coaching hours are OC right now. He is gone from home 15-16 hours a day at least 5 days a week between working and coaching. He did get a little bit of break this weekend and only coached 4-5 hours on Sat and Sun. During the week he has been working 7:30-4:00, driving an hour to hockey and coaching 5:00-9:30. He gets home around 10:30, we eat dinner and then crash immediately after. I don’t like eating so late and going to bed directly after but dinner is our ONE thing to do together during the week so I’ll deal with falling asleep on a full tummy and probably gaining a few lbs to spend an hour with my honey every night. He is the doing all this hard work for us and I’m so very grateful and thankful!! He amazes me! I would be dead tired every.single.day if I was working and coaching that many hours!

* I won't say anything about the VMA's, if you didn't see or hear about the show you might be living under a rock ;)

* I don't get the whole vampire craze.

* I wish Hung and Entourage were hour long shows.

Enough randomness for one day! I hope everyone had a great weekend!! :)
