fun in the sun...

our weekend...

we spent the entire day saturday at my parents house...
swimming
playing volley ball
tanning
 eating
my sis and her bf and jojo (joey)...
dominic was feeing all the dolphins "his chippies"...
there was a lot of volley games played...
the dogs were always wherever the food was...
i love this little dude...
happy gussy bear...
when we got home around 7 on saturday night i was ready for bed!
but...billy ordered the UFC fight so my brother and his fam and our friend tyler came over to hang out around 10.
we ended up getting to bed around 4 in the morning.
i'm not 21 anymore and should not act it, ha.

sunday, the 4th...
it was a gloomy day.
perfect recovery and rest day ;)
we literally did nothing all day, it was nice.
our city fireworks are shot off right across the street from our home so billy and i grilled a late dinner and watched the fireworks from our deck.  we didn't have anyone over like we have done in years past.  it was kind of nice just having it be the two of us.
we were so glad it didn't rain!
the fireworks were awesome!

monday...
billy had to work his hockey camp all day so i just cleaned and did laundry and had a lazy day around the house.
i really wouldn't mind being a stay at home wifey ;)
it was another rainy gloomy day, good day to catch up on chores and run a few quickerrands.

i hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend!!

TGIF!!!

this week flew by but i'm
totally wishing i would have taken today off!!
it's beautiful outside and i'd love to have a 4 day weekend...
just wanted to wish you all a happy 4th!

i do not remember a time when it has rained on the 4th of july in MN...
it is supposed to rain/storm/downpour on the 4th! :(
i'm not a happy camper.
all our fun plans are going to be ruined.
rain in the evening on saturday....there goes the cookout with the fam we had planned.
i've got to babysit tonight so we can't even move it to tonight.
i don't mean to sound like a whiner i'm just bummed.
no fireworks on the 4th is just sad!
here is b and i last year before walking over to a carnival for some cheesecurds, cotton candy and whatever other junk food we could get our hands on.
no cheesecurds will be had this year, that's sad as well :(
i hope wherever you are it's dry and ya'll have a great holiday weekend!!!

silence for COHEN...

I am posting this to show my support and love for Megan and Brent on what is going to be a very difficult day for the both of them and all their close family and friends.
My heart is hurting for them and feeling quite heavy today.

Precious Cohen's memorial service is being held tomorrow (today), this is a scheduled post.
I wish I could make the trip to be there to show how much I care about them.
Unfortunately I can't, such is the case for many of us.
I hope this event will provide us with an avenue for reaching out to Megan and Brent in a different way.

Below are the details I found at Send Love to Cohen blog.
(all of the following info was copied from Send Love to Cohen)

Jessica's original post ...

One of Megan's blog friends, Adie from Almost Perfect, contacted me with the wonderful idea of asking for a day of silence from all of the people who have been following Cohen's Story. I was touched! She teamed up with Blue Eyed Bride and there you have it... Thank you ladies for this opportunity! I hope EVERYONE participates!

What: Moment of Silence for Cohen

When: Thursday July 1st from midnight to 11:59 pm

How: Bloggers participating will post the Cohen banner or simply post Cohen’s name in large letters on their blog.

Why: July 1st Megan and Brent will be holding Cohen’s memorial service. The moment of silence is an opportunity for Megan’s blog community to stand behind her and support her on this difficult day. Linking up will give Megan a chance to see the support at a glance.

I will be putting up a post Thursday, July 1st at midnight with the Linky. Thank you in advance for showing M&B your support!

XO - Jessica
