breakfast, lunch n lots more....

hola!

This weekend was quite a mellow one for me.
I've been getting horrible headaches.
The ones where it's almost unbearable to have open eyes.
Needless to say I had one all day friday.
It was a little better by the time I got home from work.
My sister came over and we just hung out in my bed all night.
Being silly!
It was a lot of fun and it took the pain away from my head.
Billy had hockey that night and brought us home mcdonalds.
I hadn't had it in a long time...it was delicious. ha!

Saturday I woke up headache free and decided to tackle all the chores around the house.
I cleaned and did laundry for 3-4 hours.
Went to target for a few groceries and by the time I got back home the headache was back.
I ended up sleeping that evening from 6:30-8:30.
Woke up feeling a little better.
Ate a grilled cheese.
Then craweled back into bed.
I had gussy to keep me company all night :)
He is by far the best cuddle bug.
I watched lots of tv that evening...
Came across a show called platinum weddings....wow, is all I have to say to that show!!

Sunday I woke up feeling totally refreshed.
I had plans to meet a friend from college that I hadn't seen in almost 7 years!
We met at TGIFridays and it seemed exactly like old times!!
We chatted forever.
She is getting married in a few months as well!
I can't wait to start seeing her more.
We were those friends that had every single class together.
Ate lunch together every day.
Went shopping every day.
I've missed her!!
Sad we lost touch for so long but I'm glad to have her back in my life.
I think she was just as excited & she was beyond sweet and paid for our lunch!
Now I get to treat her our next time out, I can't wait!

That afternoon I went with my mom and my sister to try on a wedding dress.
I don't have any photos of it but i'm adding it to the list of my top 5 dresses ;)

Sunday night Billy and I went to my parents house for dinner.
Homemade mac n cheese and sloppy joes!!
We watched the grammys and desperate housewives.
I love the grammys!! Great Performances!

Also sunday afternoon I like to prepare my breakfast and lunches for the week...
I saw a receipe on this blog ---> QUITE CONTRARY
(btw, i just recently discovered her blog... love it!)
mini sausage egg and cheese muffins ---> recipe
& I just had to make them!
They are "mini" and i usually eat 3 for breakfast.
They are delish and so simple to make!
For mine I used turkey sausage, fat free cheese and eggbeater egg whites.....very low fat/calories and pretty much no carbs! LOVE THEM!

for my lunches....
seasoned chicken breast....
usually with a small salad and lots of veggies...

Tonight I am meeting a friend at Arichvers.
I don't know if Archivers are located in every state but the store is awesome!!
It is a giant scrapbooking store with all the coolest stuff!
The store has big workrooms with lots of tables that you can use for free.
You check in and they give you a number so if you need extra supplies while working you get the item scanned and then you pay for it at the end when you check out.
We are meeting there after work until store close at 9 and then we are headed to Applebees for 1/2 price apps! num!

I've decided to start today on a different note.
I feel like i've been in a funk for a while.
I have to force myself out of it.
It's a new month and i'm going to make the best out of it.

I'm taking a few days off from posts and I plan on catching up with everyone!!

happy monday everyone!! :)

You always talk about food! I'm tryin to diet here, girlie (ok, no I'm not.) It's nice to see a girl who loves food but still stays healthy and in shape.

Hope you can get out of your funk. It sucks. Take as long as you need!

You know I've been getting some bad headaches too. They're so annoying. I talked to my husband about it and he says that I should drink more water to stay hydrated. I think it's that and stress.

Kym said...

Aww, I hope your headaches start getting better! When I was a senior in high school I had a migraine for 5 days straight and my mom finally took me to the doctors. She put me on imitrex which made me feel like I was going to pass out but for other people it works. I rarely get a migraine anymore. Headaches yes, migraines no. I hope they go away soon!

Sounds like a nice relaxing week (well besides the headaches)! Love platinum weddings. Wouldn't it be nice if we all could have elaborate weddings like theirs?!

Jane said...

Platinum Weddings is such a crazy show. The money spent is unfathomable! But they are gorgeous!

Happy Monday my love, glad you had a nice weekend and that food looks delicious!

Oh my goodness how fun to meet up with a friend you haven't seen in 7 years - so glad it was easy to pick it up.

Aww, scrap booking stores are the best, so glad you had a blast there too.

I too have been in a funk this week since the convention with my work took a toll on me. Just rest up sweetie, I am sure planning a wedding can be stressful as well.

Have a great week pretty girl, you are the sweetest!

Lori said...

Those headaches sound horrible! I love spending "down time" with my sister!

Some weeks I also feel so ughh (if that's even a word) and I feel like I cannot catch up with "life"! You have more of an excuse than I do, you are planning a wedding!!

Lindsey said...

Sounds like a fun weekend! I love the show Platnum Weddings! It is crazy how much money those people spend.

I've been having these headaches also. I think it is because of the pressure changes in the weather. I get these headaches behind my eyes--ouch. I am so glad you have Gussy because Roman Noodle is fantastic at being a headache comforter. :)

I can't wait to see your top 5 dresses!

Debbie said...

Sorry to hear about the headache. I had one a week ago that almost did me in.

your weekend sounds jampacked and on the go. glad you finally got to hang out with your college friend. i love catching up with old friends that i've lost touch with.

Brittany Ann said...

Those headaches sound like migraines. You should look into getting a prescription for them. They can be debilitating, you poor thing!

Kassie said...

I hate those headaches!! I get them too...you can go to the doctor and get migraine medicine, like Brittany says above. If they: hurt for an extended period, have light and noise make it hurt more, and make you feel sick to your stomach then it could be a migraine!

Juliana said...

Have you tried HEAD ON? I love it!!!

Hope your headaches stay away!!! Yay for reuniting with old friends! Can't wait to see your final wedding dress pick!

mmmm, these look delicious!! i'd have to make them without the cheese, though :( i wonder if they'd still come out okay with just the cheese and turkey sausage? i'll have to try and see...

i HATE headaches. i don't get them often, but when i do i have to be in a dark room and keep my eyes closed.

I’m sorry you had to deal with headaches this weekend, but glad you were able to take it easy. That is so cute that Gussy cuddled with you. Isn’t it funny how dogs seem to know when something is wrong? I’ve seen Platinum Weddings before and it’s almost depressing when I see the money they’re able to shell out on a wedding.

I’m glad you were able to reconnect with an old friend. That is so wonderful! Homemade mac n cheese and sloppy joes sounds delicious. The Grammys were so good. I still need to catch up on DH. The mini muffins look delish. Thanks for linking to the recipe. I’m definitely going to try that.

I don’t know if we have an Arichvers around here, but it sounds fun!

I hope this is a great month for you, sweetie!!

Ashley said...

Girl, I get really terrible headaches too. What else do you do to make them go away other than sleep? I lay down and it seems to be the only thing that works.

Kristin said...

I went to visit a college friend who I hadn't seen in 7 years either, funny coincidence, a few months book. It was like we hadn't skipped a beat. That's the thing about true friends. You can always find your way back to each other!

thanks for sharing the recipe. looks delish!!!

Sounds like you had a great weekend despite that icky headache! Do you get migraines?! THat sounds like what Eric feels like when he gets those.. it's so bad he cant usually see anything. Crazy! Good recipes, love! :)

I saw someone post pics of those same breakfast quiche, and they looks so tasty!! I am having a killer headache right now, maybe that would make me feel better!

Aw headaches are the worst! I hope they go away soon :)

I miss laying in bed all day with my sisters just talking :( I live half way across the country from them now. Reunions with friends that you haven't seen in a long time are the BEST!! I love the friends where you can just start back up right where you left off.

Sounds like a good weekend minus the headches.
