random, brain dump....

1. i have C's 3 month photos!!  they are SOOOOOOOOOO stinkin cute!! they can be seen HERE!!! a friend of mine that i went to high school with took the pics, she runs her own photography biz now, ashley yantes photography.  we hadn't seen each other in 10 years so it was nice to see her! she was as cute and sweet as i remembered.  we had so much fun taking the pics! :)

2. the whale bathtub from target it's cute and all but SO not practical!  C is 3 months and has totally out grown it.  he is not sitting up yet so my options are limited.  i'll be buying a new bathtub very soon.  the problem with that tub is there is a little bump in it where the baby's bum sits and C splashes like crazy and arches his back.  he ends up arching so hard he gets over the bump and his back ends up on the little hump.  i watched him do this and i moved him back upright right away but the fact that it happens and how uncomfortable he looked made me so sad! i think we are trying the eurobath.  it is a bath tub he will be able to use when he can sit up as well.

3. i finally painted my nails after 2 weeks since last painting them.  the color looks pretty in the bottle, a light blue.  sally hanson - barracuda.  on my nails it looks like i took white out and added blue food coloring. i have no time to take it off and repaint. my nails will be whiteout blue for the next 2 weeks. and btw, i suck at painting my nails.  looks like a 5 year old did them, ha!  i'm in need of a mani/pedi and i even have a giftcard to get both done (two times) i just haven't found the time to get either done.

4. wednesdays are quickly becoming my favorite day of the week.  C and i spend a few hours with my sister, brother and nephew.  we are going to the park today for a picnic lunch!  last week we went to the zoo!  and then for dinner we go to dinner at my parents house.  it's one of the few nights a week that B is home for din. i love that we all get that time in with my family :)
love this little dude!!

5. C had his first real major meltdown on sunday night.  he cried, no tears.  i cried, tears.  he was so upset, i think he was over tired and maybe had a little tummy ache.  it broke my heart. it lasted 10 minutes (max). an eternity! :(   i hate to brag but he is truly a happy baby.  he never ever cries.  sometimes he fusses for like 20 seconds when he wants to eat but that is the only reason he has ever fussed.  he doesn't cry, he's a happy babe.  so seeing him so upset broke me down.

6. if there are other SAHM's out there....what all do you do with your babes during the day?  C and i go days without leaving the house so i'm just curious what you do to keep your babies entertained?   i hate that we have no carpet so C really has nowhere to lay on his back/tummy except his foam mat. i am thankful he loves his playmat and his bouncer.  we sing songs and read books and play but i feel like i should be doing more.  C hates tummy time too....i'm nervous the rolling over thing might be a challenge for us.  he likes sitting up though and when laying down he lifts his head and legs and wants to sit up.

7. pinterest is my new obsession!  i'm making a list of all the supplies i need from the craft store!!  i pinned lots of food as well but i doubt i'll be making anything anytime soon.

8. lastly, thanks for all the anniversary wishes!! the year truly flew by!!!  it has been the best year!

there is plenty more to dump on ya'll but i'll spare ya.
brain dump done, over and out...

I used to be the same way and worry that I wasn't doing enough to entertain Madison but realistically there is only so much you can do when they are that young so I wouldn't put too much pressure on yourself, staying home and playing all day sounds perfect to me!

Oh Annie, I heart those pictures of Cullen, they are stunning! Such a handsome lil' man you have!

I was having that very same problem with Charlie and his tub. What worked for us was spending $5 on the Munchkin Foam Bath Pad. As soon as we started using that the slipping and sliding happened less and less and it made that hard and uncomfortable plastic that much more comfortable. I think by the time he was 6/7 months old we just got rid of the tub all together and started putting him right into the tub and he has done really well. Obviously, this is only a good solution with undivided supervision! We have now just gotten to the point where we take baths together and Ihave to be honest, this is the highlight of my day! Good luck...I hope you find something that works for you!

P.S. I am so happy to see that you are blogging again!!

When I was home for 3 years with Haile and 6 months with Landon I would run almost every day with them in the jogger. Go to the park and go on the slide/swings, coffee shops, shopping trips even if it was just window shopping. Try and find a mom group! Also I LOVED the pics of C, so handsome :)

Dont worry I can't paint my nails either! You are not alone! :)

I'd say if you think you can wait until he's sitting up, to skip buying a second baby tub. They outgrow them so fast! We actually never even owned one, it was sink baths for 6 months and then we moved right to the bathtub!

Jamie hated tummy time too. He'd tolerate maybe a minute or two, but once he started sitting up it was even more of a battle. In terms of rolling over he was somewhat delayed, but now he rolls like a champ and hit all his other milestones right on time so it didn't seem to have a long term effect. Try not to worry too much! Sounds like you're doing a great job keeping him busy!

Happy belated annivesrary!
ANd, its not bragging-its just the way he is. A is the same way- she never cries, so if she does I know it must be for a serious reason...and when she does, I dont know what to do because I am not uesd to it. I usually shower with A, so I have only used her little tub twice when she was little, but the other day, I actaully got in the regular tub WITH Her...I never have time to do that normally, but I going to make time because she really liked it. AND, she better not have peed in there :)

We have a euro bath and love it. Keller is only a month and does really well in it and I think it will be even better the bigger he gets. If you get input on what to do to entertain your baby it would make a great post hint, hint.

We love the euro bath! Jackson is only a couple of weeks behind C and really fits into it well, and we bought it because it grows with the baby. Love it.

And I'm curious to know what other Moms do during the day - it's just so hot outside that I don't want to get out and if we did, it's not like he would benefit from the zoo or a museum yet. I love the website productiveparenting.com and do their daily email activity, but other than that we are the same as you - play on the mat, bounce on the bouncer, sing silly songs, feed, change, repeat!

Get the Eurobath. We've been using it with Landon since he was able to take baths after his cord stump fell off. It's the best! Landon kicks around like crazy, arches his back, etc. and he's always safe and comfy in the tub. I love that he can grow with it too. It's quite big, but fits well in your own tub and it's no big deal :)

If you're reading and playing with him, and getting out at least once a week, then you're doing awesome! Trust me- especially at this age, there's not much more you can do with them! Just wait until he's older and can speak and DEMANDS to be entertained with something you're totally not interested in. lol

He's such a cutie! She did a great job!

I Stay at home too and it gets easier as they got older and more mobile to have activities inside the house! We just read tons and stared at each other hahahahaha! I really cannot remember all I know is babe #2 was entertained a lot by his older brother and that is what sticks in my mind! Dude hard wood sucks, we moved when babe #2 was 4 months old and all our downstairs floors are wood, or tile and I feel so bad for all the falls he has taken figuring out the walking thing! Poor kid!! I love all the pics! Hope all is well! xo

We have a similar tub for Jaxon and the hump comes out. Does it not come out on yours? Jax hates being on his tummy too and his doctor said that's completely normal so that made me feel better. Y'all are so lucky that Cullen doesn't cry much! Sweet baby :-) I'm off to look at his pictures now, I'm sure they're precious!

I've given up on painting my nails. Ever.

The no carpet thing is a real bane for us, too. Now that Flintstone is walking, we can't really keep him confined to the carpeted areas or rugs anymore so we have to clean the floors constantly. It sucks.

You need to put a pinterest button on your blog! Or am I just missing it? I have one on mine. I just discovered pinterest. fun.

I hear ya on the tub thing. Azalea is quickly growing out of her baby bath, too. I did buy her a bath seat (http://www.meijer.com/s/dream-on-me-baby-bath-seat/_/R-176389?cmpid=CASEM) that we'll transition her to, but in the meantime I think she will just have to be squished in the little tub! ha!

KP outgrew her baby tub fast too, then we moved on to the duck tub and same thing. Now I just give her baths in the kitchen sink! LOL. She's too little and slippery for the big tub still and she loves the sink so it works...for now!

Happy belated Anniversary!

And loving your new do!! I wish I could rock the short hair like you do!

Beings that I have a 4 yo son finding things to do is never hard. But with having twins its much more of a challenge getting out of the house. I have a couple times alone with all 3 kids but its baby steps lol!! Anything outdoors right now while the weather lasts.
