Go over to "Life after I Dew" if you want to play along.
SO WHAT IF….
1. I feel like I consume about 5,000 calories a day.
2. I think that blog reading gets overwhelming at times so I have to take a break for a few days. My reader always has at least 250-300 posts to read daily, I can’t keep up ladies!
3. I paint and file my nails at work, I have better things to do at home.
4. I drink caffeine while pregnant. It’s all about moderation. A pregnant woman can have a cup of coffee a day which would be 200 milligrams of caffeine. A can of Coke or a Mt. Dew only have around 35 milligrams of caffeine. My doctor and nurse both told me at the beginning of my pregnancy it’s ok to have caffeine. And I don’t have it every day but there are days when I need it and I do (don’t judge).
5. I make lists every day at work of what I plan to do for the evening.
6. I broke my goal of working out at least 4 days a week. Maybe 1 day is more my style.
7. I go to Target 2-3 times a week. It’s only a mile from my house and I always forget something. I need mascara right now.
8. I only cook dinner once a week. Thankfully my hubby can fend for himself even if that means eating like a bachelor, wings and nachos 4-5 nights a week. In my defense Billy and I are usually only together 2-3 nights a week at dinner time. And my parents cook for us on Sunday nights.

You're preggo missy miss... don't you worry about cooking, or cleaning or working out - take care of YOU!! This is the one time that it is really really about you. After you have your first bub, all that changes!! So enjoy :)

Love the caffeine deal, I had to have it while preggo no big deal and my baby is fine :) I also make a bazillion trips to Target a week it is the black hole and it sucks ya in! Enjoy your week
I think we might be long lost sisters. I too am a Target obsessed, one night a week chef that barely goes to the gym ;)
I love knowing about the caffeine! That makes me feel better about when that time comes! btw, I live like 2 miles from Target and it's def my go to place when I'm outta something.
I file my nails at work too!
i hear ya on the caffeine!! i also know it OK to drink while preggo and it's all about that moderation. i will go a few days without but once every couple of days i let myself enjoy the sugary carbonation b/c i love it SO much!
Loves it! I drank caffeine when I was pregnant too. Anything in moderation. And gasp! I even had a glass of red wine occasionally in my last trimester!
Enjoy pretty lady!
I feel ya on the blog reading. I cant keep up at all! I just had to bookmark some that I want to read daily (yours included :) ) and read the others when I can!
this is such a great post idea!
I'm pretty excited about it.
I get where you are coming from with the blog reader... I feel like I add 10 blogs a day, and I am still missing SOO much
LOL At least you cook once a week I don't even do that!!! My HTB cooks every meal... I clean and that is our deal haha
hahaha! i love this post.. and i also drank caffeine when i was preggo.. of course in moderation cause made would literally do backflips in my tum so that's the only reason why i didn't drink it EVERYDAY.. she was killer haha. && if we had a target around us i would so be there once a day =)
I always thought this was a cute post on Life After I dew. :) Target is the best!
Who doesn't love Target & go there all of the time & I must confess that I to have my coffee while pregnant.........it is good & I need it!!!
Cute post! :) I love Target!
1. your pregnant let cullen eat all he wants! 2. You don't look like you eat 5,000 calories a day!3. i am the same way about Target love it!
i drank caffeine every day!also okayed by my doc!
i don't know how/who can go a day without caffeine - i think i might be in trouble if i ever get preggo! we may have a CRANKY girl on our hands if i had to go without it!
I culd not agree more with 4 and 6 haha
Love my coffe and hate the gym! 1 day of yoga works for me
SO with you on all of these... especially Target, it is a necessity! You're adorable :)
I love it. My list is just like this, minus the caffeine.
I file my nails too at work and getting the stank-eye, but like you- i have BETTER things to do at home!! LOL Totally cracked me up!
this is a great post, annie! you're wonderful, per usual! and ps, i won't judge ya! xo :)
You crack me up! I think a 5000 calorie day every now and then is needed...cuz if not I'd never be able to go to Cheesecake Factory again! ☺
just found your blog...you're so cute! look forward to following. and ps, i will totally still have [some] caffeine while preggo...although i am not, yet. i don't think? haha :)
Love this post and I love Target too :)
I drank coffee and pop during pregnancy (in moderation) and my baby was just fine. Do what you feel is right, don't let others judge. PS - I am a total list maker!
Love this post. You are too cute! And you're inspiring me to let myself have a little caffeine :-) Though I'm afraid if I start I won't be able to control myself and I'll go overboard. Oh pregnancy!
I feel ya on the reading blogs thing -- it is so hard to get caught up sometimes -- everytime I open the reader there are 100s of posts to read.
I just love reading your blog, what are you guys naming the baby?? They moved my due date up till April 27th now :)
Ha, I love the list. I too love target, caffeine while pregnant (naughty me I know). Also I think its hilarious that you file your nails at work. I wish I had the guts to do that.
Lastly, I could not agree with you more about the blogs being overwhelming. I follow so many and have so many updates every day. I have no where near enough time to keep up each day or week for that matter. Some weeks you may see a lot of comments from me and the next few I'm gone from the blog world. Don't feel bad. I do the same things you do.
I take a brake a lot, sometimes there is just more living to do then documenting living. And caffeine shame on you, just kidding I am so going to be that lady who has the occasional glass of wine eekks, i just said that outloud.
I got to Target like very other day. Every time i walk in that stinkin store i get sidetracked in every department. I even enter departments i dont need to shop in, like hardware and infants, i love the store. i look at everything haha. so i end up forgetting what i even came for, but deff leaving with everything i didnt come for haha! I also do alot at work that i prob shouldnt. Actually i think most of what i do at work is actually not working! hahaha :)
xoxo Inna :)
:-) So fun to read those! It seems we all need to take blog breaks lately...it can be a huge distraction...but I do miss them when I'm away!
I drank caffeine while I was pregnant all three times too...I think they all turned out just fine, ha! It's all good! I gotta have a Diet Coke!
Target used to be my second home...but I've cut back...I was there almost 3 times a week when the kids were in school! they've got everything you need, and everything you don't! ha! Take care!
I want a Target a mile from my house, Shoot I want a store a mile from my house. LOL. I live in a small town. Congrats on the bun in the oven :)

P.S.
I just became a follower, hope you can stop by my neck of the woods and follow too :)
Girl I drank caffeine every single day of my pregnancy and my child is fine! Don't even worry about that :)
Love this post! I am totally with ya on the blogging. I try to stay up to date on everyones blogs, but it's so hard sometimes!
don't thing twice (or be made to feel bad!!) about the caffeine. everything in moderation, dear. it's when people/preggos start to get extreme or stress out...that's when problems start. you are doing a great job growing that baby!!
I love your blog! I'm following!
I totally agree that blog reading gets overwhelming! I have spent 3 hours tonight trying to catch up on today! Thank goodness my hubby was at work...or he'd kill me!! I definitely plan on drinking diet coke when I'm pregnant. More power to you!!
ha! when i was pregnant i think i DID consume 5000 calories a day
I LOVE THIS post! FOR MANY Reasons!
1. I feel the same
2. I have 1000+ unread blogs in my reader- I gave up a while ago trying to keep up!
4. I am glad you wrote it!! Makes me feel better! I had already given up caffiene by the time my doctor told me a cup or 2 a day of coffee is fine...but around month 4, I started to have occasional cups of coffee and tea. Now, in this stage, I have never craved coffee more than I do now!! Seriously- I will drink it black!! I never used to drink it black and now I think black coffee is the best thing ever! I have it a couple times a week, and sometimes I feel guilty even though I was told it is ok. The longer this pregnancy goes, I have accepted that moderation is key.
5. LISTS are my BEST FRIEND!!
8. I only cook dinner once a week too! :) My dad thinks this makes me a horrible wife! I was like, Men these days know how to fend for themselves :)
I just adore you!! I do my nails at work too!! I hate doing them at home! LOL! I too, give in to caffeine every once in a while! I have to have a coke sometimes!! The only thing I noticed when I drink pop is that I tend to swell more, that started around the end of my 2nd trimester, and I was overdoing the pop a little. But I still have some in moderation as you said! Right now if I'm lucky hubby and I will be home together for dinner maybe 1-2 night out of the full 7 days!! Its awful, but it happens every b-ball season! So lets just say, cooking does not happen much here!
I make a list every day at work of what I plan to do in the evening as well! Like you said - so what! :)
#3 made me LOL. i file at work too! and #4 made me like you even more! preggos need not be so darn paranoid all the time! my opinion anyway but it holds no value since i've never been preggo.
I cannot imagine life without caffeine so I am so so so happy to hear that I may be able to continue my addiction while preggers!!
i feel the same way. i'm always behind on blogging. when i logged in, i had over 400 posts to read and still comments to reply to :\
I visit target way more than I should!! It's totally OK!
i am horrible at cooking, good work for making the one night work! i feel you on blogger and keeping up with the blogs - i too take a few days break just so i don't get overwhelmed! i looove target, it's impossible to leave without spending serious $$!
I drank caffine while preggers too...a girl's got needs!!
