THANKFUL THURSDAY

Once again it’s Thankful Thursday!

Today will be all about LAURA!
I tried to keep this short and sweet....didn't work!
Feel free to skim the story and just check out pics (link below!)
Laura is another one of my besties and has been for the past 4 or so years. L and I met in 2002 at the business college we both attended. I didn’t really get to know Laura until the end of our year there and we’d only hung out a few times. School ended and I stopped hearing from Laura. I couldn’t figure out why but I just let it go and moved on. Now skip forward a few years. I had no idea how Laura and I started talking again but we did and she ended up telling me that she pretty much disowned me as a friend for something that I told her I did when I was 18. She looks back on it now and can’t believe she stopped talking to me for this little thing but to her at the time it was a big deal. I don’t want to mention it on here what it is but if you really want to know, email me.

It’s 2004 now and Laura is married! I missed her wedding because she stopped talking to me :( Ugh, the reason she stopped talking to me is so petty and if you knew you’d probably laugh. But oh well, it’s in the past now. So it’s 2004 and Laura and I decide to meet up for an outdoor St. Patty’s day get together. We bonded right away and we just continued to get closer from there on out. Laura has been here for me for so many different stages of my life and I would be completely lost without her. She has helped me through a rough breakup and always stuck right by my side. I’ve also been with her for so many different parts of her life. Over the past 2 years a lot has changed I would say were not as close as we were maybe in 2006/2007 but back in those days we were going out and parting almost every Friday and Saturday night. I was single for a while before I met B and those were mine and Laura’s partying days! haha! Laura was married at the time but her husband is a very laid back guy, a lot of the time he would tag along with us for the night and be our driver (lucky us)! Back then Laura and I also worked a part time job together 3 times a week. So we would see each other 5-6 days a week! I loved being with her so much! We did everything together! In a sense we also grew up together, from school days, to parting, to settling down and just being family girlies ;)

Jump to 2009, now Laura is a mommy! She lives about 30 minutes from me so not too far. We still talk almost every day, usually through email or text but I love that we are so close. She is funny, always entertaining, full of love, beautiful inside and out and just so happy go lucky! I love her attitude on life and her for being her. I only see Laura maybe once or twice a month. We always have fun together and endless things to talk about. I always have to remind myself that she is a very busy lady! Juggling her baby, her hubby, full time work and school! She always plays softball and when she is not playing she is watching her hubby play. They are a wonderful family and I’m so glad I have them in my life!

Laura planned my birthday dinner this Saturday with 2 of my other besties. I’m so excited to be going to dinner with 3 of my best friends, we’ve NEVER all hung out together! WEIRD! I met them all at different times in my life and they each have different friends and life styles. I know we will all have a great time together, after all the three of them all have one thing in common ----> they are all bestfriends of MINE!

I apologize for this but since Laura and I have been friends for a few years and I have NO idea how to make a collage on here I decided to make a slideshow thinking I would be able to post it on here but I can't :( So if you CLICK ON THIS you should be able to see the slide show :) Laura and I have about 600 pictures together so I picked randomly.....if this link doesn't work, please leave a comment letting me know. (thank you!)
p.s. SUPER fun GIVEAWAY on Brooke's page! Check her out! She is a doll!

I had the same issue with a friend who stopped talking to me my senior year of high school. We got over that and now oddly enough she's one of the ONLY friends I talk to! Glad you have such great relationships :)
