For Cullen's nursery...

The "theme" of Cullen's nursery is modern safari.
I love that it's colorful and not too babyish.
We ordered this crib blanket from a seller on Etsy.
It was custom made since it's a bigger blanket.
The blanket is a flat, not a puffy comforter like a "normal" crib blanket.
Cullen's blanket has a "C" on it and navy minky dots.
My parents gave it to him for Christmas!
I love the way it turned out.
My sister and mom bought him these jellycat stuffed animals.
I love them and they go with his room perfectly!!

super soft and cuddly!

His crib is a a 4 in 1 convertable crib.
The color is espresso.
This was Cullen's big Christmas present from Billy's parents!
We will be getting this changing table, soon.

I ordered and have at home a bookshelf but I can not remember which one I got.
It's a ladder bookshelf in the same espresso color.

We also got a 60" round rug in navy from JCPenny and I got a really good deal on it!

I ordered a custom valance in the modern zoo print as well.
I found it on Etsy for $12!! Such a steal!

We also bought...
Navy curtain panels from Target
A lamp that will be spray painted a shade of blue
A lamp shade that is navy
Storage bins for his closet

The letters will hang above his crib.
They were just laying on the paper to dry.

His room will be different shades of blue and some brown and green mixed in.
I think we will be painting one wall darker brown and the others a lighter shade of blue (not baby blue).
The brown wall would be the one with his crib and the letters.
I've got 3 cans of spray paint for some different projects as well.
Hopefully we will be starting his room next month!!
I might set up his closet this weekend, I can't wait to get all his cute clothes hung up!

We still have quite a few things to buy for his room...
glider/ottoman
dresser
crib bumper
 crib skirt
hard to see in the picture below but it's navy with lighter blue dots and then the animal print on the bottom.
decorations
art
and the list goes on....

I plan to order the bumper and crib skirt sometime this week.
This stuff certainly gets expensive and all adds up quickly!! ;)

Great design. I love the modern looks to a nursery. While baby stuff is oh so cute, it's so much better to give them a bedroom they can grow into. I can't wait to see the finished product!

Just an FYI - 90% of the moms I know never used theirs or didn't even get a changing table. Could save you a little money. They just used the floor, bed or top of the dresser (if it's shorter) with a changing pad. Everything looks so cute and I can't wait to see it all put together!

Very cute nursery! I like how you are not going with something more traditional. That's what I wanted to do as well. I am not into the whole theme thing ;) It seems like everything is really coming together for little Cullen's nursery! In response to your comment, yes I made the closet dividers. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on them and I had certain colors and ideas in mind, so I visited ebay and found the actual plastic dividers for $5 and then spent another $5 on paper and embelishments (some of which I already had from my scrapbooking supplies at home).

I read this on my phone the other day but had to come back and tell you how much i LOVE it. It's going to look so good!

We also went with a theme that wasn't exactly "babyish" in BG's room and I haven't regretted it one bit. I think you'll love the colors and stuff in his room for years to come!
